One of the odder coincidences about moving to the office location in which we currently reside (our lease is up next year, rumor has it the big wigs are contemplating moving) was that we moved from an office conveniently located to both a REI and a Performance Bike to an office conveniently located to both a REI and a Performance Bike that is no longer the case. So Long Convenient Bike Store, It’s Been Good To Know You This setup works fairly well, at least until I need to cut-and-paste (you’ll notice that there is no statistics section today (yes, I made my bed this morning.)

This finally would make me write down the list and catalogue everything that made each place special.
When the bosses at The Athletic decided to celebrate food and drink this summer, I volunteered. I’ve long wanted to compile a list of the restaurants that I’ve loved in 20 years of traveling around writing about sports, but the timing never seemed right.
